Extending our Visual Language — currently just the shape of sound — & our Alphabet with the Creative Arts.
The Sensory, Creative, & Artistic Foundation of the Systems/Entity Café & AlphOmeg
Human communication is (multi)sensory: audible, visual, haptic & proprioceptive, etc. and permutations thereof. Such thinking is probably not new. In late February I came across a page extract that used the term supposedly from the period 1960s to the 1990s & referred to “our ability to think and feel ‘kinaesthetically’, in such a way as to bring hearing, seeing, tasting and touching together [https://www.jstor.org/stable/1513214].
Add to that moving and the interactive dance of text & image. We can examine and process images quickly and extract semantically meaningful information. Systems/Entity Café is using modern technology to augment our ability to retrieve, store, analyse, relate, resolve & communicate.
Our dynamic “database” will track the relationships between words, concepts, knowledge, and the augmentation thereof, using everything from the elements and principles of art together with the richness of the worlds of online gaming, literature, music, film, architecture, & other creative arts.
There is no end to the discovery & curation of new & existing research along the same lines, and we’re trying to recognise, incorporate and contribute to the fields. This is an exciting field, but definitely not new.
Defining our sensory language requires the development of our own semantics. Adding meaning to words in the way a dancer evokes emotion while dancing to a story, or the way music augments a story whether visual, spoken or sung.
The deliberate combination of the full range of Creative Arts is going to be the new Art Form. For example:
“The actual expression of colour can be achieved simultaneously
by several forms of art, each art playing its separate part, and
producing a whole which exceeds in richness and force any expression
attainable by one art alone. The immense possibilities of depth and
strength to be gained by combination or by discord between the
various arts can be easily realized”.
(Golden Amber #D7872A) Different natures of men respond to different elements. For one the musical form is the most moving and impressive, for another the pictorial, for the third literary, and so on.
There reside, therefore, in the arts which are outwardly different, hidden forces equally different, so that they all work in one man towards a single result, even though each art may be working in isolation.
